ASP Australia undertook this highly sensitive project, with eighteen of our highly skilled asbestos and hazardous professionals dedicated to the site over an eight-week period.
The services rendered were the removal of asbestos insulation material on various brackets and façade panels throughout the 10-level concrete building.
With many challenges and restrictions placed on our timeline we successfully navigated solutions to ensure safety was never compromised and noise levels were always adhered to. The project was successfully delivered on time with no significant disruption to hospital operations.
The Multi Storey Commercial Private Hospital was an extremely sensitive site.
The services ASP Australia rendered were the removal of asbestos insulation material on various brackets and façade panels throughout the 10-level structure of approximately 1,217 m2, with 42 patient rooms.
Our work sequence and Co-ordination with multiple trades onsite was meticulous as we worked around a live operating private hospital. Despite the challenges and restrictions such as unexpected noise limits due to emergency surgery or access restrictions at unexpected times; we ensured co-ordination with hospital staff, our employees and trades people were always streamlined which helped play a key role in safely and effectively completing this project.
All the equipment used is owed by ASP Australia and consisted of:
With a strong team effort, we safely completed the project within the planned timeframe of eight weeks. Control air monitoring was conducted throughout the entirety of asbestos works and an ITP for management of pre-existing non-hazardous airborne fibres interfering and attributable to elevated readings was established and endorsed by the regulators (Safe Works NSW).
